Washburn University's Chief Information Officer (CIO) since October 2021. My journey in IT began at Washburn in 1997, where I transitioned from student worker to trainer, support specialist, and finally, leadership roles. My passion for technology led me to pursue a BA in Computer Information Systems (1999) and later, an MA in Leadership and Communication (2020) – both from Washburn University.
In my role as CIO, I'm dedicated to:
- Leading Washburn University IT department to provide innovative and efficient technological solutions.
- Fostering a collaborative environment to support faculty, staff, and students.
- Staying current with emerging technologies to optimize IT infrastructure.
Outside of work, I'm a passionate sports fan, cheering on the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. I also enjoy following Washburn University Athletics, especially football – although tailgating with friends and family often takes precedence over the game itself!
Welcome to The Dog House! I look forward to sharing my insights and experiences in the world of IT.
