October's Soundtrack

October has its own soundtrack.

The rustle of leaves across the yard. A football game in the background. A favorite song playing somewhere nearby.

This time of year also reminds me of Oliver. He loved these cool fall mornings, and I still find myself expecting to see him looking out the window or waiting by the door.

I miss that.

I'm not ready for winter yet, but I'd be happy if October stayed around a little longer.
